PJ Challenge 2008

PJ Challenge is an annual event since 2004. Organised by 200the The EventAssociation of Backpackers Malaysia (ABM) and working together with MPPJ/MBPJ and in association with the commnity : Residential Associations, Rukun Tetangga, Cancer Society Selangor & WP, New Villages, Schools and Environment groups. The message to the Local Authority, the State and the Federal Govt the importance of Sustainable Development, Local Agenda 21 for social, security & environment issues to be addressed.

PJ CHALLENGE 2004 - Climb 4 hills in 1 day:
Bukit Sg Rumput (next to Tropicana)
Bukit Kota Damansara Section 10 (KDFC)
Bukit Lanjan ( MK Development)
Bukit Gasing ( only gazetted Green Hill )

PJ CHALLENGE 2005 - As above inclusive of a Road Relay between the Hills and the use of Public transport LRT from Kelana Jaya to Taman Jaya.

PJ Challenge 2006 - The focus was on Sustainable Development using the Menara MBPJ as the Symbolic Challenge where a 12hr Towerthon (22 stories) beginning at midnight till the next day was successfully held. An Environment Expo & Games was also held simultaneously.

PJ Challenge 2007 - A Step by Step Up for Charity Climbathon was held on Gasing Hill where 2500 participants took part. Nanyang Foundation was our partner.

PJ Challenge 2008 - Inspired by the movie " Run Silent, Run Deep" - Expose our Fility Polluted Rivers to our members and the public. The CRY FOR HELP- PJ a City with a NEAR DEAD RIVER - Sg Pengcala.

PJ Challenge 2009 - With Climatic Change, Global Warming, Influenza Pandemic? - How we can SAVE Planet Earth ?
